Lord Shiva’s idol to be made of 1.25 crore silver ‘belpatra’ during ‘World Shiva Mahakumbh’

New Delhi, October 02: A gigantic idol of Lord Shiva made of 1.25 crore silver “belpatram” will be mounted in the National Capital Region’s Chhatarpur area during ‘World Shiva Mahakumbh’, which is to be organized this month.

This information was given here today by His Holiness Dr. Braj Nandan Ji Maharaj, Founder- President of Devashram Trust. He informed that 1.25 crore ‘Shivalinga’ would also be formed during the 10-day ‘World Shiva Mahakumbh’, which will be held from October 21 to 31 in New Delhi’s Chhatarpur area.

In a press statement issued here today, Dr. Braj Nandan Ji Maharaj stated that representatives from more than 75 countries world would attend the holy Mahakumbh.

He also stated that the Hon’ble President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Governors and Chief Ministers of several states, MPs, MLAs and an array of will also grace the occasion. Representatives from saint community from different parts of the world would also attend.

Dr. Braj Nandan Ji Maharaj informed that ‘World Shiva Mahakumbh’ is being organized to foster global peace and unity. During this Mahakumbh, a string of social welfare programmes will also be organized. These include group marriage of poor girls and honouring widows of martyrs. Also as part of the Mahakumbh, ‘World Peace Prizes’ will be presented. Further, a series of national-level programmes associated with Swachh Bharat Mission, Beti Bachao – Beti Padhao, workshops on Body, Mind & Soul, Skill Development & Entrepreneurs, health and energy conservation, will be held during the event.

Brand Ambassador of Devashram Trust and famous film actor Shri Mukesh Khanna, who played a lively role of Bhisma Pitamah in the popular Mahabharat TV serial, said that he was extremely proud and happy for being provided an opportunity to be associated with such an important event. “At a time when enmity is on the rise in the society and discord is increasing, events like ‘World Shiva Mahakumbh’ will definitely show to the mankind the path leading to world peace,” said Shree Mukesh Khanna.
