Dera Sacha Sauda is a Social Welfare & Spiritual Organization that preaches and practices humanitarianism and selfless services to others. The main centre of the ashram is located in Sirsa (northern India). More than 60 million people around the world are faithful followers of the organization. Spiritual seekers learn to meditate and follow the principles laid down by Revered Guruji.

History of Dera Sacha Sauda (Sirsa)

Literally means a place of real truth.
God’s True words or the True Method of Meditation is imparted over here.
Guru of His Holiness Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj, the Revered Saint Sawan Shah Ji Maharaj when pleased with Mastana Ji’s eternal love for his Satguru, embraced Mastana Ji with the divine power of Spirituality. He sent him to semi-arid Transitional Plains of India known as Bagar area to emancipate people through God’s True Words.
Mastana Ji was then honored with the title of “Emperor of Bagar” by Revered Sawan Shah Ji Maharaj. Respectfully, He chose Sirsa as the epicenter of Spirituality and put the foundation stone of Dera Sacha Sauda on 29th April 1948.
His Holiness taught the Method of Meditation for 12 years to thousands of seekers and encouraged them to abandon evil deeds and live an honest life through hard work. Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj also established at least a dozen additional ashrams in the states of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi etc. He tried to shower his divine blessings far and wide.

Childhood of His Holiness

Being the only child of his parents, he was the favorite of everybody in his family.

From a very tender age, his deeds hinted at the fact that he wasn’t an ordinary child. Soon, his parents realized that he wasn’t merely a child but the image of the Lord. And thus, they never hurt him physically or verbally.

The natives of the land also learned about this special child.

His Holiness was always a kind and helping child. He used to help the poor and needy financially and in every way possible for him. These qualities he carried into his adulthood and are reflected in his personality even today.

During years of his education, His Holiness performed excellently in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. He also did whatever he did with great dedication and confidence.

At just eight years of age, Revered Pitaji started driving a tractor in his father’s agricultural fields.

At a very young age of just seven, His Holiness was bestowed with the Naam from Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj at Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa. And this was how one Master Saint found the next in the lineage.

Param Pita Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj invited his disciples from all over the country and conducted a grand Satsang where His Holiness declared Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan as the successor to the divine throne.

In this formal ceremony, Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj bestowed spiritual wealth to Pitaji and handed him the charge of the Dera.

This date is not only a milestone in the history of the Dera Sacha Sauda but also an important date for all the mankind. It was on this date, that Revered Pitaji left his family at a young age of 23 and sacrificed himself to the cause of humanity.

Since then Revered Pitaji has worked tirelessly to spread the divine message and blessings of our Param Guru, throughout the world.

Dera Sacha Sauda is an organization which prides itself in spiritual and social welfare of the masses. It is well known for its humanitarian work and for being a confluence of all religions.

People from all walks of life are welcome in the Dera, irrespective of their religion or race or nationality.

The Dera Sacha Sauda Sirsa was founded on 29^th April 1948 by Spiritual Master Shah Mastana Ji Maharaj. Shortly thereafter, His Holiness appointed Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj as his successor on 28^th February 1960. After a few decades, on 23^rd September 1990, Param Pita Shah Satnam Ji Maharaj announced Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, the present Spiritual Master, as his successor.

Promoting matrilineal inheritance (parallel to the usual patrilineal one) by encouraging the boy (if he has another male sibling) to relocate to his wife’s parental place with everyone’s consent and look after her parents as his own responsibility.

Tree Plantation Campaign
Mega Tree Plantation Drive on 14th August 2016

Dedicated  to serve humanity, Dera Sacha Sauda has tradition to render, to contribute for the society’s benevolence on each & every occasion of gratification. Following the same, Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan & the devotees , on His inspiration, celebrated Guruji ‘s birthday, His Incarnation Day by planting saplings. The Mega  Plantation Drive was initiated by Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan Himself  on 14 August 2016 at  around 7.30 a.m. at  Shah Satnam Ji Dham , Sirsa , Haryana. Pursuing  His action ,the crores of Dera followers also planted the saplings all over the country & abroad. Blessing the devotees & participants , Revered Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan advised them to take  to take full proper care of the saplings  planted by them.

He said that  since the devotees were desperate to  gift Him something on  the Birthday , they were asked to come up with such wrapped wonder whose glitter would be witnessed by the whole world. So it was adjudicated that the Day , which is India’s Independence Day  & His Incarnation Day, would be marked with the Plantation Drive. So that the whole environment would be joyous, placid & tranquil. This program was organised all over the world by planting most of the medicinal  as well as fruit plants like Neem( azadirachta indica ), Peepal, Harad (terminalia chebula ), Baheda ( terminalia bellirica)  etc. They are not only beneficial for health but purify the surroundings too. 3 crore 23 lakh 31 thousand and 75 seedlings have been planted so far, out of which  76% are thriving gloriously. Guruji asked to go for the charity  & holy deeds of tree-plantation & blood donation to mark one’s special days like birthdays , anniversaries , the best way to celebrate & jubiliate.
