Photo Feature: Monks on Peace Walk: Thailand to the Himalayas
Buddhist Monks are known for walking and meditation for long hours. The life of Buddha was also about the two. Four Years back, few Buddhist monks started a new journey to India. Monks came to India by air, and then start walking from Bodhgaya to Ladakh. With foot and arrangements for the thousand miles, they become walking pilgrimages.
This year from May, 200 monks from Thailand start their walk to the Himalayas. These pictures are the glimpses of their hard dedication to mapping the path of Gautam Buddha and aware everyone about peace and Saving Himalayas from pollution. The culmination of this yatra will be at Mahabodhi Internation Mediatation Centre, Ladakh on May 25-26.
