Onam is a festival which is celebrated all over Kerala. The story of Vamana Avatar and Mahabali is a story which we all know. Mahabali in a bid to have dominion over the heavens does a Yagna. Maha Vishnu as Vamana Avatar appears as a small boy and asks for a boon of three steps of land, when Mahabali offers him riches, Vamana says, I need only the steps of land….’ the one who is not satisfied in what he needs will never be satisfied with anything in this world’… What a beautiful teaching! The story continues and so do the teachings…
