Covid-19 Pandemic and Religion Journalism

The International Association of Religion Journalists has launched a series of dialogues on how the COVID-19 is impacting faith communities in different parts of the world. They bring together journalists from different regions to share their stories and also the challenges they face in reporting them.

According to IARJ website, “In the following days, we are holding dialogues for various world regions, including Asia, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, North America, Northern and Central Europe, and Southern Europe and the Mediterranean”. The events will be live-streamed and videos will be posted on the IARJ website www.theiarj.org.

The organisation of journalists covering religion has a specific presence on all continents and the member are quite active in reporting the various aspects of religions.

In the last weeks they have completed many online sessions with leading religion journalist from many continents. Participants from Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, North America, Northern and Central Europe, and the Mediterranean.
