Delegation of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan joined Urs Mubarak

Ajmer, 20 February; A delegation of senior diplomats of the Afghanistan Embassy in New Delhi visited Ajmer Dargah Sharif as a special representative of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani at 11:30 am today from the historic Nizam Gate of Dargah Sharif.

Delegation of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan joined Urs MubarakOn the occasion of the ongoing 809th annual Urs Mubarak celebrations in Ajmer Sharif, the delegates ascended a large black velvet-colored zardoshi chadar-Mubarak on the Holy Mazar Sharif of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti.



Ajmer Sharif(India) and Chest e Sharif(Afghanistan) share 800 years old Spiritual ties. This is the first time that Chadar Mubarak is offered by the President of Afghanistan by millions of Afghan people reasserting their Spiritual bond and cultural ties with India from Afghanistan with making of the new relationship and spiritual ties between India and Afghanistan.

Delegation of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan joined Urs MubarakA special letter from President Ashraf Ghani sb was read out by Mr. Ajmal Alimzai – Cultural Attache to thousands of devotees present inside the Dargah Ajmer Sharif along with other Spiritual Ceremonies organized by Khuddam e Khawaja Gaddi Nashin Community elders to honor and welcome the kind gesture inside Dargah Sharif at the sacred Ahata e Nur ( Courtyard of Light ).

Haji Syed Salman Chishty, Gaddi Nashin – Dargah Ajmer Sharif, and Chairman of Chishty Foundation with other senior members of Chishty Sufi community welcomed the delegates from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan – Mr. Ajmal Alimza (Cultural Attaché), Mr. Ajmal Mohammad (First Secretary), Mr. Sayed Ziaullah Hashimi (First Secretary), Mr. Wahid Jamal Jabarkhail (Second Secretary), Mr. Akhtar Shirzai (Media representative) and Mr. Jafar were part of a diplomatic delegation visit to Ajmer Dargah Sharif.

Delegation of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan joined Urs MubarakIn opening remarks of a welcome ceremony at Ahata e Nur in Dargah Sharif, Haji Syed Salman Chishty spoke about his memorable visit to Kabul, Herat, and Chest e Sharif two years back in a special Indian Sufi Delegation visit where they had organized a successful International Sufi Conference in collaboration with Herar University, Indo Persian Study Center and Chishty Foundation Ajmer Sharif.

At Ahata e Noor welcome ceremony Shijra Mubarak (Spiritual Genealogical Tree) of the Chishty Sufi Order which includes the blessed names of Buzurgh Khawajaghaan e Chisht from both Ajmer Sharif ( India ) and Chest e Sharif ( Afghanistan ) was recited by Syed Shaheen Moini saheb followed by opening remarks by Haji Syed Salman Chishty – Gaddi Nashin Dargah Ajmer Sharif.

Delegation of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan joined Urs MubarakThe humble Message of Peace and Gratitude towards Chishty Sufi Order from President Mohammed Ashraf Ghani sb was read out by Mr. Ajmal Alimza in which Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Sahab, President of Afghan wrote, “It is a singular honor to be offering the Chadar at the Urs of Khawaja Moinuddin Chishty. As an Afghan, and as a student of Sufi orders for over 50 years, I have been fascinated with the character, impact, and reach of Khawaja Gharib Nawaz (RA).”
