“Healthy life is the key to success” – Swami Chidanand Saraswati
Rishikesh, April 13th 2021, A two day free eye care and medical camp began at Parmarth Niketan under the guidance and blessings of Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji Maharaj, in which along with free eye therapy and eye examinations, free spectacle distribution and medicines were also distributed to contribute towards a healthy, beautiful and divine world.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati, President of Parmarth Niketan, while wishing everyone on this occasion of the holy festival of Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, Nav Samvatsar 2078 and Navratri, said that the New Year should be full of selfless service for and welfare of all, ensuring health, happiness and sense of meaning and purpose for all.
The first day of the New Year is special for everyone in many ways. The New Year brings new rays of hope, so the beginning should also be with positive actions.
It is believed that the first day of the year is a mirror of the whole year, so the New Year should always start with the best and only the best. Thus the Free Eye camp was organised under the aegis of Parmarth Niketan, with the support of Abha Bagrodia charitable Trust, in partnership of the Mahavir Seva Mission, Kolkata, Global Interfaith WASH Alliance and Divine Shakti Foundation.
The service team of Dr Saurav Shaw, Shri Rajesh, Dr Rama ji and many others and Parmarth Niketan were outstanding contributors in this endeavour.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji inaugurated and blessed the Camp and said that health, education, food and housing are the basic necessities of life. Providing health and education to all is very important. India being the second largest population in the world has a lot of pressure on health services.
He further added that to ensure and to contribute to the improvement of health services in India, selfless, committed and resourceful individuals need to come forward in health sector because healthy living is the key to success of any individual. If any person wants to be successful in life, it is necessary for his/her body to be healthy first. Healthy citizens makes healthy, prosperous and safe Nation.
Let us together contribute to the creation of a healthy society and healthy nation. Special thanks were given to Shri Vinod Bagrodia, the head of Mahavir Seva Sadan who was not able to make it this time but with whose dedication and love the camp is organised every year with Parmarth, his service and initiative was deeply appreciated by all.
