What PM Modi advised Religious Fiction Writer Amish Tripathi

Delhi, 20th May. Religious Fiction writer Amish Tripathi met Hon PM Narendra Modi. He gifted his upcoming book Sita: Warrior of Mithila to him. The meeting went to a new direction when PM advised him to work on the discussion of Lord Nachiket and Lord Yama. He has shared the crux of the discussion on his facebook page :

I had the honour of visiting the Prime Minister’s residence to present him a pre-release copy of my upcoming book, Sita – Warrior of Mithila. Narendra Modi ji was kind enough to spare some of his precious time to speak on many topics. We briefly discussed my books, especially the Ram Chandra Series (Scion of Ikshvaku & Sita – Warrior of Mithila). But even more enlightening were the discussions we had on other subjects. On Lord Nachiket and Lord Yama’s philosophical discussions in the Katha Upanishad. On Samanvaya, the Indian way to harmonise diversity. On the importance of environmentalism. On how vital it is to fight for women’s rights, and how our ancient ancestors can guide us. On inspiring the youth to remain connected to our roots, even as we modernise. On the importance of a questioning and learning spirit. On India’s cultural influence outside our political boundaries. On the fabricated fiction called the Aryan Invasion Theory. On shedding our mental slavery and celebrating the achievements of our ancient culture. The range of topics was eclectic and wide, and driven by a deep love for India. Thank you, Narendra Modi ji, for your valuable time, encouragement and guidance. It spurs me further to write books which will celebrate, in a modern way, the beauty of our ancient culture.
