UNEP & URI engaged Indian Interfaith leaders for World Environment Day

On the occasion of the World Environment Day and to strengthen engaging with faith-based organizations and faith leaders in India, UNEP’s India Country Office is launching its Faith for Earth Strategy and Action Plan.

United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) – India and United Religions Initiative (URI)- India on Religion World Facebook page (our digital associate) where in UNEP will be officially releasing its faith based strategy document on the zoom call in the presence of the UN India Resident Coordinator Ms Renata Dessallien and India Director Mr Atul Bagai.

The theme of the program is “Faith Based Initiatives to tackle environmental crises”. We would be honoured if you could join in for the program as a participant. It is scheduled to be held on June 5, 2020 from 5 PM – 6 PM IST.

Religion World, India’s leading website of all religions and faiths founder Bhavya Srivastava said, ” We are delighted to part of this initiative, environment is a prime issue and during this pandemic, people tend to think more about nature.

Indian interfaith spiritual leaders HH Sadhguru, HH Swami Chidanand Saraswati, HH Acharya Lokesh Muni, Sadhvi Bhagwati, HH Drikung Kyabgon Rinpochey, Atmarpit Namiji, Haji Syed Salman Chisty, Father Pail Moonjely, Paramjit Singh Chandok, Sant Balbit Singh Seechewal and Dr AK Merchant video message will be played.
