Recently Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) with an aim to provide aesthetic feel to the devotees has started developing spiritual gardens in Alipiri and Tirumala. The TTD’s forest wing has developed Vinayaka Vanam at Vinayaka temple near Alipiri on the way to Tirumala.

The spiritual garden set up near Alipiri has 21 plant varieties growing. The leaves and flowers of these plants are being used in ritual for Vinayaka Chavithi festival. The Vinayaka Vanam is the brainchild of Deputy Conservator of Forests N V Sivaram Prasad. He is also planning to develop Nakshatra Vanam, Raasi Vanam, and Karthika Vanam on the lines of Vinayaka Vanam.

The leaves and flowers of these plants are used in performing Ganesh puja on the festival day of Vinayaka Chavithi. The vanam was developed in 300 square metres area which is also enhancing the beauty of green cover in Seshachalam ranges. Speaking to the media TTD DFO said that Vinayaka Vanam was set up on an experimental basis as part of developing the spiritual gardens.
