Hariyali Teej Celebrated by Maharishi World Peace Movement

Bhopal. Sahasrasheersha Devi Mandal – female wing of Maharishi World Peace Movement celebrated Hariyali Teej in a grand manner at Maharishi Vedic Sanskritik Kendra, Arera Colony, Bhopal on 03rd August 2019. Dr. Gita Narahari, Psychologist, motivational speaker, author and the social worker was the Chief Guest of the celebration.

The programme started with the introduction of the programme by anchors Ms. Mayuri Tarey and Ms. Neha Sharma, followed by Guru Pujan and lighting of the lamp. All the guests were welcomed with Tulsi plant. Smt. Suman Yadav, District Secretary, Bhopal briefed about aims and objectives of Sahasrasheersha Devi Mandal in her welcome speech. Dr. Gita Narahari in her speech spoke about the good and healthy environment of Maharishi Vidya Mandir. She further added that she felt very honoured and obliged to be part of the function. She quoted the following sloka of Bhagwat Geeta and explained the meaning of the same. Reciting a sloka from Shrimad Bhagawat Geeta, she said it is far better to perform one’s natural prescribed duty, though tinged with faults than to perform another’s prescribed duty, though perfectly. In fact, it is preferable to die in the discharge of one’s duty, than to follow the path of another, which is fraught with danger.

Further, the celebration headed to inter-school bhajan competition in which there were two categories i.e for students and teachers. There were nine teams from Maharishi Vidya Mandir Schools and Maharishi Kids Home, Bhopal. MVM Ratanpur won the first prize in students’ category and MVM Ayodhya Nagar won the first prize in Teachers’ category. There was a presentation of Bhajans by Sahasrasheersha Devi Mandal Committee members of Bhopal Unit. Vote of thanks has been given by Smt. Arya Nandkumar, National Secretary-Communication, Maharishi World Peace Movement.
