Ramzan or Ramadan commemorates the first revelation of Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) . In this holy month, through the devotional exercise of fasting, we cleanse our souls, strengthen our faith and attempt to become better human beings by sharing the pain of millions who are forced to fast out of poverty and by reaching out to them through the act of giving unconditionally. This is a month of charity & being good and doing good unto others. Every religion prescribes fasting in some form or the other. So there is common ground between this Islamic practice and practices in many great faiths of the world. This month , let us all re-affirm our commitment to the basic moral values of compassion, mercy and peace.
