Problems of Life are not DIYs

Problems of Life are not DIYs By Mehul Vora

If I ask what is that one thing in life that is inseparable from you? ( complication of living ) Let me give you another hint it is a one-word answer? It is something that never gets over; there is always one waiting for you. It stands unsolvable.

Still thinking over it, Let me break it to you.

The Answer to it is “Problems” or “Challenges”

“The scriptures say that this world is “dukhalya ashahvatam” the world full of miseries”

Problems are part of life and it is one vicious cycle that each individual faces and has to live with it. Every Individual face financial problem, relationship problem, business problem, workplace problem. If the list seems to end then you have old age and disease waiting for you. The individual dies but the problem does not. The scriptures say that this world is “dukhalya ashahvatam” the world full of miseries. Each individual irrespective of caste, age, gender, the qualification has its own set of problems.

This might seem to be scary? Can we escape this vicious circle? The answer is yes. Albert Einstein says “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” You need to now think differently.

dukhalya ashahvatam

The solutions that motivational speaker or some spiritual leaders give are strategic. They would answer this by asking you to first identify the problem, then thinking up solutions, then trying the trial and error approach.  This will solve one but what about the next and the chain of problems that are waiting for you.

“First and foremost “Stop” seeking solutions outside”

To this Krishna in Bhgavad Gita 18.58, says. “mac-cittaḥ sarva-durgāṇi ,mat-prasādāt tariṣyasi, atha cet tvam ahaṅkārān, na śroṣyasi vinaṅkṣyasi”.

If you become conscious of Me, you will pass over all the obstacles of conditioned life by My grace. If, however, you do not work in such consciousness but act through false ego, not hearing Me, you will be lost.

To this Lord Krishna says…

“The problems of your life are not DIYs” The real problem is not the problem but getting stuck trying to solve the problem. Call it God, inner voice, gut feeling, conscience anything you want is constantly telling you what to do and what not to do. This voice is more superior to any motivational book, lecture or as a matter of fact any sort of advice that an individual may give. First and foremost “Stop” seeking solutions outside.

The problems are part of the cosmic law then why don’t we let the cosmic law only decide on solutions. We need to first give up solving the problems ourselves and just keep on doing things that we are doing automatically you will feel that the problems are not affecting you, They will be resolved automatically. Krishna says “na śroṣyasi vinaṅkṣyasi”  if you do not listen you are sure to be lost, so pause for a while and start listening within yourself and leave things to the supreme being. Everything will be taken care of.

Quick Tips

  1. Problems are a vicious cycle that is unsolvable.
  2. Do not take the DIY approach
  3. Stop seeking solutions outside.
  4. Listen to your inner voice, gut feeling, conscience, god or anything you wish to call it.
