“Tapobhoomi”… Goa’s renowned spiritual hub located at Kundaim in Ponda Taluka has reached great heights due to the incessant efforts of the present Pithadeeshwar of the renowned “PADMANABH SHISHYA SAMPRADAY” his holiness (H.H.) Dharmabhushan Swami Brahmeshanandacharya Maharaj. The revered Swamiji has been instrumental in reviving Goa’s lost historical identity as “DEVBHUMI” and not just a hub for tourism oriented fun and frolic.
Sowing the spiritual seeds of the Padmanabh Sampraday was spiritually conducive there but times were turbulent and tyrannical amidst religious turmoil… yet this Sampraday (Cult) sprang its roots firmly with “SADGURUS” devine intervention for the “VEDIC SANATAN DHARMA”.
This spiritual transformation has been achieved from ages by the Goan layman by divine togetherness and company of the “SADGURU”, thereby helping in Social, Ecological and Political transformation for Goa’s dawn of liberation and freedom.
Brahmanand Swamiji has rendered immense service for the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden people in the last two decades. While propagating the Bhakti movement in this holy land, he has rescued many people from falling into the clutches of vices such as drinking, gambling, drug-abuse etc. It is solely under Swamiji’s guidance that thousands of young people have been able to choose the correct path of life and follow it.
Tapobhoomi has been set up to educate mankind about its duties and responsibilities of life. It seeks to extend the message of divine love and compassion. Tapobhoomi is indeed a temple of humanity, standing firm on the foundation of devotion i.e. Bhakti.
Swamiji’s relentless efforts for a decade and half has put Goa on the global map in fields of various contributions for peace to the human race. One darshana and vichar of P. Swamiji converts the bad into good… the yin into Yan and each one bows in these lotus feet to quench the thirst of self- realization thro this “ Charisma” of this unique “Gurupeeth” which is the sole patent of the “ SATYA SHRESTHA ISHWARI DNYAN”… the supreme knowledge of truth.
Ved Vidhyalay
Every parent strives for a high profile vocation for their children. They anxiously expect the child to be a true professional laden with good habits, etiquettes, moral and character. In this rat-race of fast paced modern times one person had a vision to achieve it. The reverend Dharmabhushan Sadguru Brahmeshanandacharya Swami Maharaj….. Swamiji started the “ SWAMI BRAHMANAND VED MAHAVIDYALAYA” at Shree Kshetra Tapobhoomi Kundaim Goa.
History has it that all great able administrators were sculpted through the spiritual sciences fortified with other vocations. The Vedic Shastras, the moral philosophies & religious studies if imbibed by any generation at a tender young age helps for all round development of a versatile leader of the masses keeping this in mind every Muth, Temple & village should be apt with a Ved Pathashala affiliated to the Swami Brahmanand Ved Mahavidyalay (University).
Each resident student of this University is a ‘Batu’ who would study in the college equipped with the best amenities of vedic education. A full fledge hostel is an endeavor of the near future the Batu’s are aware of the changing social fabric of life through their annual study tours and ‘Bhiksha Feri’ for alms from people in villages & Towns and number of Batu’s are enrolled annually in this unique Mahavidyalaya to pursue the relentless pious karya of the Swamiji.

The learned Pandits, Acharya’s & Scholars of Sanskrit affiliated to the Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Vishwavidyalay are the ones disseminating this knowledge to average as well as high profile professionals alike.
This institution also conducts classes in Sanskrit at grassroot level in villages and towns on Holidays to facilitate communications conversation, language and grammar so that Sanskrit becomes a daily medium of instruction and conversation and not only for conduction of a religious rite or ritual.
Literacy workshops undertaken so as to produce a new fresh faculty of Teachers of Sanskrit. National and International seminars and delegations on Sanskrit have been successfully accomplished for the felicitation of all learned Scholars in this field laurels in the form of 2 gold medals are another feather in our Cap.
