Vaikuntha Ekadashi is the main festival of Sri Venkateshwara Temple in Tirumala. The Deities of Lord Malayappa were taken in a procession in the golden chariot around the temple. The temple was decorated with scintillating colorful lights and flowers. Lakhs of devotees thronged to temple for darshan of the Lord and passed through the Vaikuntha Dwara.

Thousands of devotees every year witness this event on the auspicious day of Vaikuntha Ekadashi.

Sri Parthasarthy Temple in Triplicane, Tamil Nadu
Preparations are on at the Sri Parthasarathy Swamy Perumal temple in Triplicane in Chennai for the Vaikunta Ekadasi festival. A large number of devotees are expected to visit the temple from early morning that day to witness the opening of the Paramapada Vaasal. Perumal would be brought to the Maha Mandapam for the Vaira Angi Sevai , at 4 a.m. the deity would be taken on a procession inside the temple after which by 4.30 a.m. the Paramapadha Vaasal would be opened.
Sri Kanchi Varadaraja Temple in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu
At Kanchi Varadaraja Perumal the ‘Pagal-pathu Utsavam’ takes place right infront of Varadaraja Perumal’s sanctum sanctorum on the Atthigiri Mount. All Azhwars and acharyas are assembled together and the utsavam takes place at about 1.00p.m and culminates at about 3.00.p.m. Maryadhai is accorded to all azhwars and acharyas and then we have Perumal-theertham, Srisathari and prasada viniyogam. As one enters the temple precincts during this period the whole place reverberates with the holy notes of Azhwars divyasukthis and it is a blessing to present there during this period. If there is any azhwar/acharya tirunakshatram during this period he is taken in purappadu and brought back to the sanctum.
Sri Prahlada Varadan Temple in Ahobilam, Andhra Pradesh
Vaikunta Ekadasi will be celebrated with Vaikunta Dwara Darshanam and Perumal purappadu on Garuda Sevai at Ahobilam Sri Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy Devashthanam. Dhanurmasa Vaikunta Ekadasi Mahotsavam is taking place in grand manner since December 16, 2013. Several astikas took part in the Utsavam and had the blessings of Acharyas, Azhwars and Perumal.
